Production

NGK operates production plants throughout the world. In the past years, the capacities in the diesel segment have been expanded considerably: for example, NGK opened a new glow plug factory in Komaki, Japan. This plant, which has a surface area of 30,000 square meters on four levels, is equipped with state-of-the-art production technology. The total capacity of the plant is approximately 20 million glow plugs of all types per year.

What is special about this plant is that instead of relying on random sampling, like other manufacturers, every single glow plug is tested in a fully automatic procedure after production. Better quality assurance before delivery is simply not possible.
